What is Mindfulness
Mindfulness is about being fully present and engaged in the moment by paying attention to what is happening in us and around us. Mindfulness involves focusing your awareness on the present moment and also acknowledging and accepting your feelings and thoughts without any judgment. Many people use mindfulness to reduce stress, achieve a state of calm and improve overall well-being.
Mindfulness is an overarching idea that can be practiced in many different ways. Some examples may be:
Mindful Breathing. Focus on your breath and the sensation of the breath coming in and out of your body.
Mindful Movement. Taking a mindful walk or practicing yoga.
Practicing meditation.
Create a gratitude list. Write 5-10 things you are grateful for.
